Why Ive always maintained that recording at anything higher than 24/44.1khz is unnecessary...I could just never explain it, but now everyone can watch a video with actual scientific testing as to why my notions have always been correct. Yes, capturing at 24/96 does sound better, but if you have to drop down to 44.1khz so that CDs can play it, you might as well just capture at 44.1...The mistake, IMO occurred in deciding that CD format would always be stuck at 16bit/44.1khz...we should have at some point evolved and had CD players be able to play at minimum 24/48khz.
