....Why are we so afraid to leave a bad relationship? What is it that keeps us hoping that something will change and we will find that special moment we felt in the beginning when things seemed so right and beautiful. I love you felt so real! ....The beginnings of a relationship are always this way; smooth and loving. If it wasnt we would not be with that person for why would we be with someone that treated us poorly from the beginning? (If this is you there is no one to blame but yourself...bein g desperate is no excuse for being with someone who abuses you from the beginning. Remember that men and women can also treat each other poorly) ....Falling in love is wonderful, but now we have the task of loving someone whose behavior we cannot tolerate. We have that precious love from another before we know what their issues are. Now we have to deal with their damage about intimacy as they have to deal with ours. Do not expect life to be so sweet once the honeymoon phase of a relationship is over. NOW the work begins! ....Always be aware that what you see in the beginning is real; that is when both people are at their best, but the other sides of both of us will come out. When our insecurity settles down and we begin to live within the relationship, it is normal for our feelings( negative) to surface. Both people need to be aware of this so it is not shocking that we disagree and even bicker, argue or even fight about that in the beginning we would never dream of bringing up. ....WE leave a bad relationship when we cannot find even the smallest piece of what we first experienced with another person. Yes, love changes as we get older and wiser in relationships. Perhaps we lose that charge in our heart that we once had. But the essential love has to be there. if there is one or both persons not interested in working on finding that love again, this is when we leave a bad relationship for it was not real to start with.
