Why cant film studios understand that box office doesnt mean shit. High box offices doesnt mean that the film was incredibly awesome it only means that people payed to see the movie thats it. It doesnt mean the movie warrants high praise because the number of people who went and saw it, it should get praise for how inspiring the film is due to characters, storylines, the ability to draw in the audience. For example micheal bay transformer films had high box offices but in reality they acually suck yet more are being made by the same director. Its sad that these companys now more than ever are so arrogant and have become strictly corrupt buissnesses who only think about money rather thanthe audience. I understand that make movies dont come cheap and everyone needs to make some profit and pay bills but there is a difference between profit and becoming greedy to the point u want to make quick and easy. Now im not saying directors or studios need to please the masses but to forget the masses entirely and arrogantly decide not to do proper research get a general conciences and look through a point of view other than your to truely understand the idea of the film or character your taking from a sourse that either known to a select few or grealty known is idiotic. I apologize for 2am rant reading the latest comment from marvel studio about ironman 3 sayin it was great even though a great amount of people feel that it wasnt when they tore down what the mandarin character was without the potential of either correcting or expanding to whohe really was and then giving the excuse that it had a high box office rate so thats why they thought it was great film annoys me.
