Why do people come to the US legally or illegally? For a better - TopicsExpress

Why do people come to the US legally or illegally? For a better life...right? To escape troubles in their native lands? For the opportunity to better oneself? So that you can improve the world around you? Thats what were told. So tell me how locking the door once theyre in helps? And why forcibly nationalize everyone? I know some believe this is necessary, but the statistics may shed light on a different agenda. Oh and btw, it will cost each newly nationalized $680, unless were waiving that fee. So, What happens when or if conditions improve in their native lands? Wont temporary workers wish to return home someday, picking up where they left off? The old saying... dont let the door hit you on the way out takes on a whole new meaning when its used to coerce people to stay. While an exit tax wont affect the affluent, nor even the middle class...it certainly will hurt its targeted audience, an impoverished underclass that is more apt to vote along liberal lines. Great political strategy to frighten the sheep about their illegal status, yet have we ever really turned people away who sincerely wanted to become Americans? No. We just want the process to produce the greatest chance of success for those who come here. And we are picky about who we turn away, a few rotten apples as the saying goes. No different than any other nation, right? So its amazing to me that this law was championed by Senate Democrats Chuck Schumer and Bob Casey. To say it helps to keep the plantation full would be crass and bigoted, and more apt of GOP House members, as alleged by one former Sec. State known for such ludicrous statements. But then I dont pretend to have an accent in Selma, nor do I wear glasses for anything other than reading. Were told this law was enacted to prevent those of us whove benefited from our nations wealth from leaving the fold, robbing us of our long sought communal harvest. But it hits the newly nationalized poor the worst. Once emigrated, they cannot turn back. Do we think they might change their minds and reject their newly adopted America? Rest assured, it will be far better here supported by an entitlement program than in any other nation. Get back in line...and remember to vote the way we tell you. So call me a cynic, but it seems like someones being gotten both ways... coming and going. thehill/homenews/administration/221597-angst-grows-over-obamas-plans-for-executive-action-on-immigration
