Why is it hard for us Americans to enter into the kingdom of heaven? Because those who have many things for themselves cannot hope to convince God that they loved the least of these as much as they love themselves. There is no regard for the second greatest commandment, and if not the second , then there is certainly no regard for the first either. (Luke 10:25-29, Matthew 22:34-39) Therefore, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me, Jesus says. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. (Matthew 19:21-22) God give us courage to follow You. (Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 18:21-35, Mark 10:16-31, Luke 12:19-53, Luke 9:62)
