Why is it, if here in the peace river region where we receive - TopicsExpress

Why is it, if here in the peace river region where we receive millions every year in grants (like FAIRSHARE) for having so much industrial impact, do we still pay more for food, fuel, housing, and everything in between than most all other parts of the province and even the nation? With all that extra money being funnelled into our regional economy, and with all the big paycheqs we earn here, whats the common denominator? Whats the missing factor? What makes it cost more to live where it pays more to live?
