Why is the Nigerian army struggling to deal with the Boko Haram insurgency? The president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has ordered all schools and government offices in the capital, Abuja, to close during a three-day international conference next week. Hundreds of political and business leaders, including the Chinese premier Li Keqiang, are due to attend the World Economic Forum. Abuja has been struck by two bomb attacks in the past fortnight, which have killed dozens of people. Boko Haram said it carried out the first attack, while the Islamist group is also accused of abducting more than 200 schoolgirls in the north of the country. At 1200 GMT today Newshour speaks to a retired Nigerian major and security analyst Yahaya Shinki. bbc.in/1nSGoLJ
