Why we have Neo-Colonialism Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “If a community renounces its commitment to Allah and His Messenger, they will be governed by an enemy who is a stranger to them and who will take away some of what they possess.” [Ibn Majah, Al-Bazzar, Al-Bayhaqi] Muslim lands are rich in resources and it is the reason that they were colonized. In the current form of colonialism direct government of Muslim lands is by Muslims. But as puppets are controlled from behind the scenes by strings, so also do our rulers dance to the tune of foreign governments and corporations. The destruction of their own populace couldn’t mean less to them. The fault is our own: we were warned by our Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) not to take lightly our covenant with Allah (subhana wa ta’ala).
