Wildlife Safety Message: It is that time of year when wildlife start bearing their young. This brings awareness while in the park that wildlife is great and wonderful to see. But with their young, they can get a little protective. To some this may seem like the wildlife is being aggressive towards us but they are just telling us to give them some space and respect their area. You may see or encounter fox, deer, beaver, coyote, snakes, turtles, and the rare black bear. We would like all visitors be cautious and observant while in the park, whether on the trails, roads, or camps and keep your pets on a leash. If your pet is not on a leash, it could have an encounter with wildlife too, which could result in injuries to your pet or wildlife. For your safety, you should also avoid touching or handling wildlife. Let us know about any encounters you have with wildlife during your visit. Stay safe; enjoy the park and all its natural wonder!
