Will Jeremy Clarkson be changing his name to Jennifer? As fans of Top Gear will already know, Jeremy Clarkson was so impressed with the McLaren P1 that he has stated if the Ferrari LaFerrari or Porsche 918 hybrid hyper cars are better, he will legally change his name to Jennifer. The cars haven’t appeared together yet, but Chris Harris from Drive has driven both, and his initial assessment seemed to put the McLaren P1 a step above the Porsche, but how will it compare to the Ferrari LaFerrari? It is good to see McLaren leading the pack of manufacturers that includes much more experienced and established brands. It is good to see a relatively small British manufacturer producing not only what appears to be the most capable car on the road, but doing it in a manner that completely changes the face of motoring for the future, using innovation, state of the art materials, and British engineering genius. So when the 3 of them come together, who do you think will come out on top? We are pretty confident from Chris Harris’s early comparison that the McLaren will trump the Porsche, but will it get one over on the Ferrari? One things for sure, it will be one hell of a shootout.
