Will Rosenbalm, I’m thinking about you and feeling terrible and sad because you are no longer with us. All I know is that you tried over and over again and that each time you had adversity come your way, you fought against it. Now I’m devastated and I wish you could still fight. Few people know the pain you have felt, the pain of body, mind, and soul. I’m not going to name names and list out the many events you personally told me about but I will say this, so many people on this earth owed you! They owed you many apologies, especially for how they treated you. Those people know who they are (I’m expressing this sentiment for myself and I have no idea or care if any of “those people” may ever read this or if anybody even knows what I’m talking about on this point…). Now that I got that off my chest, the lesson I will take from your beautiful strong spirit is not one of regret but one of optimism. I’ve always been so proud of you and so happy to have you as a friend. When I visited you in the hospital last year, you were making jokes and having everyone in the room in smiles, that takes such strength and you were in so much pain. More pain than I have ever felt. When we spoke just the other week, you mentioned the flowers I brought on that visit. You said thank you and that they lasted the whole time you were there, and that you didn’t think that you had thanked me at the time but you always meant to. This makes me cry now. Of course you thanked me back then and out of absolute sweetness, you wanted to make double sure a year later that you thanked me again. You were unbelievably sensitive and caring. Nobody’s spirit is as sweet as yours and I’m not sure the World may see kindness like you possessed ever again. We may all only hope to be a fraction of the beauty you held in life. I am going to miss you very much my strong and loving friend, I’m blowing kisses at heaven now and thinking dearly about you!
