William Lynch, your interest in the 2.3.7 subgroup has re-piqued my own. Way back in 2004 when Gene Smith came up with what he then called aaron.scl [https://groups.yahoo/neo/groups/tuning/conversations/messages/53059], now more universally, and rightly called nofives.scl (even though I was honored to have the scale named after me then...but nofives it is; look it up in the xenharmonic wiki gallery of 12-note scales). Anyway, playing around with the 22edo tempering of it (nofives.scl) this afternoon, and its equally a fabulous scale, still retaining the juicyness and overall septimal flavor of the original JI version, but for folks like me who just feel strapped down when we cant modulate, it enjoys 11 perfect fifths, on a par with Pythagorean, and 3 minor triad positions are actually 4:5:6 major chords, to boot! (C#, F#, G# as roots....). Tune it up and have at it...I love it! ! nofives-22edo.scl ! 22edo tempered version of nofives.scl, a 2.3.7 subgroup 12 ! 0.0 54.5454545455 218.181818182 272.727272727 436.363636364 490.909090909 545.454545455 709.090909091 763.636363636 927.272727273 981.818181818 1145.45454545 !
