Winds have hit 55 mph in Lubbock today and dust again is dominant in the region. The strong winds are in response to an intense low pressure system in the central plains. While its winds here its tornadoes in the southeastern US including one this afternoon in Tupelo, Mississippi. The storm will be slow to move northeast so winds will remain high through tomorrow, but not as strong as today. The system will drive some below normal temps into the region with lows falling to the 40s in the morning and only in the 60s tomorrow afternoon. Morning lows will fall to the 30s both Wednesday and Thursday morning._John Robison
