*Winter Series* : Special Bond Hey!! We are heading to the coffee shop. Want me to pick you up? He asked as soon as she picked his call. I dont think I can. We havent hung out in so long. He said interrupting her. She could sense the sadness in his voice. Di has left Vivaan at my place. Im baby sitting him so I cant. I do want to talk to you, can we meet some other day? Okay! Hmm. She placed Vivaan on his chair which has a small belt. She tucked the belt on his belly and started clearing the mess he has created. She was exhausted as she spend the entire day playing with him, feeding him, bathing him and doing all other stuff. She was sweeping bits of paper when her doorbell rang. Pulling her hairs in a messy bun she picked her purse on the way to the door so she could pay the food delivery person. But to her surprise it was him. Tadaa. He said giving her a toothy smile. You. Here? She asked, confused. Yes! And I bought you muffins from your favourite coffee shop. He said handing her the bag. Thanks! She said and moved aside so he can step in the house completely. He placed his long coat on the table near the main door and made his way towards the living room with her. Im heading to the kitchen to keep the bag. Do you want something? She asked. Naah! I just want to talk to my bestie. For how long you are here?? She asked giving him a small smile. As long as you want. ;) He replied back with a wink. So do you mind if we talk after I take a shower. Im kind a mess as this little guy made me run around the house all day. She said ruffling Vivaan hair with affection. Correction. Hot mess. She poked her tongue out and headed to take a bath. As she made her way back, she saw Vivaan sitting on his lap giggling. He has kept one hand on his back supporting him while the other was holding his tiny hand. He kissed Vivaans tiny finger when he patted his cheeks lightly. She flopped down on the couch next to him. I wonder where does he get so much energy from? I never thought he could wear me up so much. He placed Vivaan in his chair and looked at her. He could see past the fake smile she was giving. Her eyes reflected so much sadness. He cupped her face with one hand and brought her face closed to his and kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes, yet one traitor tear made its way out and rolled down further on her cheeks. Im scared. She spoke out. About?? Remember I told you how my therapist decreased my dosage so that it helps me when I want to completely quit it. Yeah! It has been more than a week Im off antidepressants. The thing that scares me out is Im having nightmares and my sleeping pattern has been disturbed. Last night I had the urge to start taking those pills again. I talked to my therapist, she said its just a withdrawal symptom, but I really dont want to give into this. I dont want to be dependent on those pills again. I dont want to be addicted. She said and broke down in tears. He pulled her in a hug. She clutched his shirt in her fist and cried her heart out. He was the one who supported her and finally talking to him made her realize how much those thoughts were haunting her. She didnt want to be addicted to those pills she just wanted to have a normal life. He soothed her by rubbing her back and by whispering words which calmed her down a little. Im sorry. She said parting from him. You dont have to be sorry. I had talked to your therapist earlier and she did tell me you might have the urge to go back. But you didnt. :) And you arent addicted, its just with drawl symptom. When she didnt speak for a while he took her hands in his. Im proud of you. You didnt give in and you are so strong. Really? You think so? Yeah! :) Ill there for you forever. Whenever you feel like giving up just know Ill be there by your side to hold you and we will make it through. Thank you. She said with utmost gratitude as he lightly pressed her hands. He smiled when she gave him a small smile which finally reached her eyes. A yawn escaped from Vivaans lips. He must be sleepy, but I dont have his cot. Where should I make him sleep? Saying so a yawn escaped her lips. Bring a blanket. Haan? She asked rubbing her eyes. Just do as I say. Okay! When she reappeared with the blanket she saw Vivaan sleeping peacefully on his chest. She slowly tiptoed toward him. He patted the space next to him. She sat and covered him with her blanket. He pulled her into a side hug and asked her to sleep. Im not sleepy. Acha! :/ Rest your head. And within no time she was asleep. He knew she didnt want him to be awake alone, but he didnt have the heart to keep her awake seeing she was so exhausted. And after a long time she slept peacefully with a feeling of being safe.
