Surrounded by constant distraction, you never are really allowed to have time to find peace of mind and self -- we are honestly TERRIFIED of wandering thoughts. In a recent study, in fact, it was shown that people would RATHER receive an electric shock than to sit in silence with their own thinkings; says a lot about society does it not? In the 21st century we have TVs we have radios, we have bullshit conversations about things that in no way matter, and then we have, on another hand entirely, infinite wisdom embedded inside ourselves. Silence is crucial. Unlike automatic exchange and bullshit, Silence isnt awkward-- Dont make it such.
