With a heavy but peaceful heart, I awoke suddenly from two hrs sleep here at UK Hospital. I should have been asleep soundly after being up since 4AM on Tuesday. But i was waken (I believe by my dear Aunt Dottie) letting me know it was time for her to say goodbye. I was alone with her and she was lying there so peaceful and beautiful, for the first time in days with a normal breathing and heart rythem. Aunt Dottie sliped away without so much as a shutter. The doctor pronounced her gone at 4:03. She is at peace in the hands of the Lord. We will miss you and cherish your memory, Mrs. Dorothy Barker. Beloved Mother of Lawrence Barker, wife of the late Leslie Barker, sister to Alma Schafer (Perry), brother to J.C.Perry, Aunt and great Aunt to many nieces and nephews, Surragate Grandmother to Jayden Louden (her genius grandbaby) in her words and friend and neighbor to many. Time to rest your journey is over.
