With all of this leaving cert malarkey, if it makes anyone feel better I never did mine... to cut a long story short I always hated everything about school. Im dyslexic I wasnt diagnosed until I was 14 (Its not much help by that stage). I was bullied (Ive always been an odd ball, and wanted to be left alone). To top it all off when I was 6 (Seriously 6!!) a teacher dragged my Mother in for a meeting to tell her I was special... very special. (I needed to go to a school specially equipped to handle my specialness) When I was 17 another teacher claimed I was making up how sick I was (even though I had been in for surgery)... So personally I feel there are a lot of problems in the education system o.O But the biggest one is that there is some insane notion that the leaving cert dictates your entire life and worth. I am very glad I never did it, because its a load of shit.
