With all the negativity and people blasting police officers, we all need to look at what they go through on a daily basis and realize that they should not have to wait until they die to try and do something to ensure they live. Sometimes things happen and they have to make a split second decision and us, ones that are not brave enough to wear the badge, should not ruin their life because they chose to go home to family. Because they decided they want to live. We always forget that the reason they where there is because a crime had taken place. We forget that at the time they did not know if the person they shot had a weapon or not. You say excessive force but you never say anything about the people committing the crime. Remember the next time your scared, your frightened and you pick up the phone so a cop will come save you that he does not know you. He does not know the situation he is about to be put in. He is frightened. He is scared. And he should not have to listen to idiots run their mouth about subjects they know nothing about except what the news told them and have his life ruined for decided that after this day, on this call, he is going back home to his family and living. Dont like it? Take the class. Put on the uniform. I bet your views will change then.
