With all the things wrong in the world and in these united states, to waste tax payers money on arresting and trying someone in a court of law for smoking marijuana Is simply ridiculous. There are bigger fish to fry. Smh. Recently, Philadelphia city council passed a resolution decriminalizing marijuana in amounts of 28 grams or an ounce or less. The Philadelphia police department were told to issue fines of $25.00 for first offense by city council. However, those higher up in the police department gave instructions for the Philadelphia police to now follow state law concerning marijuana laws. 0_o that has to be illegal, but why would a local police department ignore local laws and follow state laws? ... Job security I say. Shame on Philadelphia police for refusing to acknowledge Philadelphias laws
