With all the unsavoury remarks against GEJ by the opposition and their cronies Im still left bewildered as to why any right thinking individual will embrace GMB as the agent for change. In my days in the elementary school we were constantly reminded that we are the leaders of tomorrow, now Im in my 40s with children Im wondering if this tomorrow has not eluded me. The importance of education was constantly hammered into our brains. Recently, Im beginning to doubt all that I was taught. If you dont need EDUCATION to rule a country of over 160million people what then do you need? Why dont we ask the Boko Haram leader to come and contest elections since certificates are no longer important. GMB is a product of injustice against the south during the days of Sir, Amadu Bello when northern Nigeria was trying to dominate the military and northernize Nigeria. all that was needed for northerners was the consent from your parents to be enlisted in the military and not certificate, the lucky ones made it to officer cadre hence, we have GMB. When the incorruptible GMB was in government in the 80s I was old enough to remember few of his achievements just to mention but a few; the military government under his watch were neck deep in maladministration and nepotism and if these are not corruption, please tell me, what is corruption? Change is good but be careful of wolves in sheep clothing. Young, vibrant intellectuals are all over nigeria irrespective of religion/ethnic group. I believe these are the qualities needed for lasting change in our great nation.
