RESPECT.... Today I want to share a post I wrote on THE POWER OF RESPECT in 2013 and add some more thoughts to it. People so easily say to another I feel disrespected or You have undermined me. Never feel offended or upset about this as they may say this on a physical level and feel very strong about that but without them knowing it, on a deeper and spiritual level, what they actually say is I feel undermined because I feel out of control and I feel disrespected because I have not learned to fully love and respect myself. Acknowledge what is said on a physical level with love, compassion and discernment but deal with the root cause of FEAR and deep settled INSECURITIES that drives their need to feel in control and respected. When the yearn for POWER comes from outside there will always be the need to feel in control and respected. True POWER comes from within and does not need to be fed from the outside to feel in control. True POWER does not need to be babysit and stoked but comes from LETTING GO of control and allowing the self to flow with what is. True POWER flows when we combine the power of self-belief with pure motives as then there is little that cannot be achieved through using this power wisely to bring benefit to everyone in our lives. The roommate of CONTROL is DISRESPECT with their ruler being FEAR. Demanding RESPECT because of position or background is simply arrogance, whereas on the other hand, listening with HUMILITY and valuing other peoples views and advice naturally earns a person respect. Respect cannot be demanded as it is a natural flow when we develop self-respect by growing and changing for the better. Dear friends, the world is a stage and we are all actors. Each actor plays a unique part and is responsible for their own actions. Each one of us has a special role to play in making the world a better place. Remember, when you learn to respect yourself, other people will respect you. You can not demand or earn respect through control....with love, Christa Bonnet
