With everyone sharing their travel adventures it is making me restless. So many people I know are on a trip, just came back, are getting ready to go, and I sit here looking at their pictures and smiling and saying how lovely it all is, which is true, but I am also jealous! My travel to foreign lands is greatly restricted by my inability to get a Passport and I am also unwelcome in some large countries who have asked me not to return. To be sure I understood that instruction, they have promised to put me in one of their jails if they catch me sneaking in or flying over again! Thankfully for me Canada is gigantic and still raw in places as God made it, but also with great cities and exciting things to do as well. One place I want to visit soon is the Hudson Bay region. Ever since the first dialogue on global warming I have been intrigued by the effect of it on the great northern bay. My theory has long been that the western coast will become the new gulf coast of North America and in 50 to 70 years will be dripping with sun burned tourists. It had been my intent to get there and buy some cheap crown land near the water and wait for the rush! The gummint beat me to it. Their ostensible naval station in Churchill, the opening of the Northwest Passage to regular shipping all bode poorly for tourism. However merchant marines and naval personnel, oil explorers and infrastructure developers and workers all need to buy beer and food and have somewhere to sleep. Who else is ready to stop beefing about global warming and take the bull by the horns and capitalize on its effects.
