With grateful hearts we want to say thank you to so many people who have encouraged us and offered support through Zoe’s first 3 months of life! We are working through the initial shock and disbelief of this diagnosis for our sweet baby, moving toward acceptance and striving to give Zoe as normal a life as possible! But that acceptance of OI is peppered with profound sadness for Zoe and what her future holds and our future as a family. And yes, some days the fear is so paralyzing we want to hide from the world and some days the anger is so overwhelming we want to scream how much we hate Osteogenesis Imperfect! But in the end, Zoe smiles at us and we know God gave us the best job in the universe, to love this beautiful baby! We want to thank the generosity of everyone who organized fund raisers and simply gave from their hearts. It has been a tremendous relief when each week we get piles of medical bills and wonder what are we going to do? and then, by grace we are able to send checks thanks to all of the kind, generous donations and fundraising! We are so very grateful!! We offer special thanks first of all to our families, friends and neighbors who show up, cry with us, pray and smile too! Thank you to Debbie Storrs, her musical friends and First Church of Winsted, David Young Lawn Service and the Young Family, The Neely Family, The Donoghue Family, DPZ North in Litchfield, Reservoir Dogs Motorcycle Club, Friends and Co-workers at Becton Dickenson, The Lonza Group Employees, Northwest Community Bank, Greenwoods Country Club and a special thank you to Amanda and Billy, who keep us grounded by helping us to give Zoe a normal life; and to our OI families who offer advice, strength and wisdom! And a big thank you to all of the individual people who pray, send encouraging words, made donations and sent Zoe cards and gifts! We hold a special place in our hearts for all of you!! GO ZOE!
