With less than 12 hours left to be a Thirtysomething, I thought I would leave you with this story that still makes me chuckle: I used to OBSSESSED with this show. (And Felicity..) I really thought life was supposed to be this way when I was a thirtysomething. One would think I would have learned that television is NOT real life after being supremely disappointed that a carnival would NOT show up at Buc Stadium on the last day of high school. (Grease anyone? Dead serious.) Anyway, about two years ago I cued this up on Netflix to watch the entire series. Robert Coy immediately turned the television OFF and refused to let me watch it, explaining that THIS SHOW was in fact probably the reason so many people in the world felt sad and lonley. He looked me straight in the eye and said, Babe, I love you, but I cant. Not only can I NOT watch this, I am not going to let you watch this because I am not a therapist and WHO KNOWS what life issues you will decide you need to explore after watching this emotionally draining, completely melodramatic television show that is NOT REAL LIFE. Am I the only one? LOL!!! #ilovedthirtysomething #ithinktelevesionisreallife #LOL
