With only five days until the exhibition launch, here is the third designer we would like to introduce. Alison Jackson is a Canberra based Silversmith, dividing her practice equally between designing and making both jewellery and tableware pieces. Alison is interested in the way people interact with their objects. How an object shapes a space, influences an environment and becomes part of an experience. Alison has exhibited throughout Australia and Germany and has been the recipient of several notable awards. Most recently she was awarded the Rosalie Gascoigne Memorial Award to assist with production of her new tableware range. She was also named as runner-up in the prestigious Qantas Spirit of Youth Award for 2013, and in 2014 was included in The Other Hemisphere exhibition at Ventura Lambrate, Milan Design Week.
