With the holiday season approaching, philanthropic Big Island residents are coming together to give time, energy, money and other gifts to various charity events. West Hawaii Today is compiling a list of these holiday charity events in our coverage area, which is from Kohala through Kona to Ka’u. The deadline for submissions is by 5 p.m. Nov. 14 and will be strictly enforced. Submissions should be kept as brief as possible and include pertinent details, such as who is offering the event; time, date and where it will be held; what’s needed, being collected or donated; the cost; and contact information.
