With the last election, we have seen the rise of the obstructionists, but we cannot go back to business as usual. We cannot continue the growth of separatism and elitism. We cannot ignore and blacklist a growing segment of our population. We cannot continue to ignore the destruction of our landscape and environment. The destiny of our country lies with positive action to grow and protect our people and land. We must rebuild our infrastructure and educate our young. We must build on the promises of our forefathers for all of our people, not the few. Stop with the Charter schools which educate a segregated group and educate all students. Make laws based on the good of the country, not just for business. Take action on immigration reform and pave the way to citizenship. We must be the good stewards of this planet and take clear action on global warming. We must never be satisfied until this country rises up, not to protect and provide for the few while children and the elderly hunger for food and warmth. Is the cost too great to afford? Or is inaction the greatest danger? Or is the greatest danger lurking underneath the robes of Christmas Present? It begins with one voice, it begins with one persons actions, it begins with a little exhausted woman on a bus who can do no more.
