With tonight’s episode of The Blacklist being part one of the finale, let’s play a little WHAT IF/JUST SUPPOSE. So, what if Berlin is Lizzie’s birth father? And what if Lizzie’s birth mother and Red were in love and she was planning on leaving Berlin and taking Lizzie with her. Now, just suppose that Berlin found out about the affair and the mom’s plans and set fire to the house with both his wife and daughter inside. And suppose Red arrived in time to save Lizzie but not the mother. To save Lizzie, he took her to Sam to raise. And what if Sam was Red’s brother and Berlin saw the obit, knew he was Red’s brother, saw the Survived by his daughter Elizabeth…put 2 and 2 and 2 together and got 6. I know. It’s off the wall. But part of the fun of this series is thinking up scenarios that are off the wall because – let’s face it – the truth is probably just as crazy! Of course all of this doesn’t account for Red’s removing the photo of the woman from the killer’s book of photos in that earlier episode, or some of the other unanswered questions weve had along the way. And do I really think the writers are going to let us know the real relationship between Lizzie and Red with another season coming up, since this question is at the heart of the series? No, I don’t, but it’s so fun to speculate! So what’s your WHAT IF/JUST SUPPOSE theory for the finale?
