Within a one week period, 2 year old Mr. Banks found himself - TopicsExpress

Within a one week period, 2 year old Mr. Banks found himself plucked from the Bronx neighborhood he was checking out to a cage at Manhattan ACC to going through in intrusive medical exam to a strange room with another stranger for something called a behavioral eval. If there’s one consistent thing in all of Mr. Banks’ ACC notes is that he was trying to get away—he wanted out of there asap. But scared as he was, look at the fine print—he was in decent health when he got there and though he didn’t like that hand trying to take his food and wasn’t sitting still long enough to be “positioned” (whatever that is) for parts of his behavioral eval, he was just fine when that other dog came into the room. And read even more—he seems housebroken as he went the first chance he got to actually get out of his cage and go outside. And look at his overall description “shy, but friendly and social towards the handler - comes over, leans in”. All Mr. Banks wanted was a soft lap to lean on and someone to reassure him that everything will be all right. Unfortunately, ACC’s answer to that plea is to put Mr. Banks on tomorrow’s euthanasia list and to make him New Hope only. Tonight, Mr. Banks needs that special someone who looks at this handsome boy and just knows that all he wants is to belong somewhere. If that’s you, then start applying to rescues to foster or adopt Mr. Banks. But do it quick—tomorrow ACC won’t delay in making this great dog just another gone dog. https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=764058683607013&set=a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553&type=3&theater
