Woah! I was scared at first to write on here because of some of the nasty comments and because I no longer live here, forced off! Most people I can see opposing this have moved here! I remember a time when I was at the end of middle school when a ban was slapped on the building of retirement homes die to the awful migration here of 2nd homes (holiday homes) and elderly places to retire to our beloved island!!! This meant no jobs for the younger generation at the time. Half my family moved off including myself as there were NO job prospects or ways to work up the ladder as such. I find it WAY TOO expensive to visit the island although over the years I was forced to via being able to see my children or family, limiting the time I had and having to save hard for these times in between its such an expense!!! Which was a few times a year if that!!! Again so many people point out its killing the jobs, the economy, their childrens future ! Im 43 I still DONT visit the island much, rarely, unless its weddings or funerals! Its the most expensive stretch of water, its cheaper to visit Spain or France. I welcome a link always have since a child, I would utterly love to spend more time with my friends, old school friends I havent seen for 20 years or more 😒and family if I could ! if you carry on not having one the island will slowly die, quaintness doesnt put food or the services you need to live on the table!!!!!!
