Woke up in the Smokey mountains and heading to South Carolina. Remembered my step dad Larry fell ill on this day in 97. Saw a family in Shoneys with 5 girls. Remembered how when I was a girl or parents took us out to eat on Christmas. I had to say hello and tell them about my memory. Thought of my sisters. Thought about my dad. The first Facebook post I read this morning was from a friend and fellow co-worker whose dad was called home to be with Jesus this morning. Just saw the highway 3 semis wide which reminds me of Larry, Don Reddick (both now in.heaven) and my Don who trucked over holidays in years past. I remember my grandparents and wonderful Christmases with them I remember my father and mother in law and how we had great fun and such love they gave to everyone. I am thinking of our children making Christmas memories today with their familys. Folks it doesnt matter where you are, who your with or who your missing. Your memories are there to recall love and fun. Do that. Remember to thank the Lord for what you have, not what you wish you had. Its just what you need. Love everyone with you and those who are miles away. Remember why Jesus was sent to us. Merry Christmas everyone.
