Wollongong Police would like to advise that as a result of some excellent work by very observant and vigilant neighbours and builders from a nearby building site in the Thirroul area, three young male persons were arrested after breaking into a residence and decamping with stolen property. The neighbours observed the young males running from the area and alerted the builders working on a construction site nearby. The builders, obviously being very fit, gave chase and two of the young male persons were apprehended near Thirroul railway station. The stolen property was also retrieved which included a laptop computer. Upon arrival of Police further details of the third young male person were obtained who was later arrested by Police in the Lake Illawarra LAC. All three young persons were later charged with a number of offences and bail was subsequently refused pending their Court appearance. Excellent work by all concerned especially those burly builders who threw off the work boots and pulled on the running shoes! A job well done......
