Wondering how we collected data during the #egyptreferendum? We used Formhub to collect and map the data in real-time. Read all about it here, along with an overview of the evolution of #electech in election observation. Thanks to DIs Michael Baldassaro and TechChange: The Institute for Technology and Social Change! Observers transmitted the forms directly from polling centers to Formhub over the mobile data network with an incredible 100% success rate. By the end of the first day of voting, nearly 1,000 observation forms were submitted from polling stations and mapped on Formhub; by the end of the second day, more than 1,900 forms were collected and mapped (note: voting in Egypt takes place over a two-day period).
