You can notice that Ben is used to teach music. lol "Concerning the construction of a track, as you know it, I’m an Ableton tutor. I often repeat to my interns that music is like cooking. If you want to make a good dish, you first select the good ingredients. Then you figure out how to cook them. Concerning my ingredients, the choice there is nowadays an abundance of choices. I prefer to work with some hardware stuff. What I like is turning pots instead of clicking on a computer. But these are only tools. I’m not one of these all-and-only analogic stuff workers. Knowing perfectly its tools is the most important. You can push them hard then. This is for the white coat part. I also find important to live with its time. Getting to know other instruments, trying new ones is essential. It allows you to develop an aesthetic sound but not only. It stimulates you, it forces you to be creative. Concerning the writing process, i’m used to work with Ableton mode session. I can push the loop as far as i want. Then I record in live and finalise the edition and mixing in the arrangement mode."
