Wondering what to watch during study break? Basically the general consensus on latest movie line up for the summer: Edge of Tomorrow - Sci-fi action flick Gripping, well-acted, funny, and clever, Edge of Tomorrow offers entertaining proof that Tom Cruise is still more than capable of shouldering the weight of a blockbuster action thriller. RT - 91% MC - 68/100 = WATCH (for tom cruise not sucking) 22 JUMP STREET - Summer Comedy If 22 isnt as good as its predecessor, its certainly smarter and more heartfelt. Whether this sequel is better than the original is up for debate, but the franchise has definitely grown up. RT - 91% MC - 77/100 = MUST WATCH (because Channing Tatum.) The Fault in Our Stars - YA Film It walks a knifes edge between heart-on-sleeve sensitivity and crass exploitation for its entire running time, and the fact that it largely stays on the right side of that divide has to mark it as a success. RT - 90% MC - 69/100 = WATCH (and bring tissues.) How to Train Your Dragon 2 - Animation Film (DreamWorks) If necessity is the mother of invention, then DreamWorks’ desire to extend the Dragon franchise has propelled the creative team in the most admirable of directions, resulting in what just may be the mother of all animated sequels. RT - 100% MC - 74/100 = MUST WATCH (early reviews suggest this is almost as good as the first one and we all know the first one was pixar good.)
