Word of the Week: Safety In light of the current NFL domestic abuse issues I think its important as men and fathers to take a step back and ask, Wheres my emergency button, when things get out of control. If were being honest, we can all admit to having our anger and frustration getting the best of us. Studies shows, often times its a quick knee-jerk outburst of anger from something we havent settled within ourselves. We are all familiar with phrase, I had no idea that I was going to snap that hard or I couldnt control it. Unfortunately, unresolved and unaddressed issues will eventually destroy the lives of those closest to us. Why? Because the likelihood of an eventual explosion is certain and those closest to detonation are the ones who suffer the most. The question is, Wheres your outlet? How can you ensure safety with your family? Exercise for the week: Lets have a conversation with the women and children in our lives about creating physical, mental and emotional safety as a priority to living #DADlife! #DADicated
