Words of Wisdom: Seating her reflecting back on the movie Karate Kid and I realized that Daniel son was never greater than Mr. Miyagi, because of the difference in their levels of wisdom. The student could never be greater than the teacher because of their levels of wisdom. I would never claim to be greater than my biological father because of our differences in wisdom levels. Likewise with my spiritual father Pastor James Patterson, I would never claim to be a greater Man of God then him because he has much more wisdom than I. Mr. Miyagi had character flaws, my teachers in school had character flaws, and my own biological father has character flaws but I would never discredit or downsize their wisdom levels, because they have helped in molding me into the person I am today. Some of us can’t even make a straight with a ruler and claim to be greater than others that are in authority over our lives. Although knowledge is power, knowledge means nothing without wisdom. My grandfather wasn’t the most educated man to know, but there is one thing I can say about him is that he was full of wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge that is gained by having many experiences in life. It would be foolish of me to say that I have more spiritual wisdom that my spiritual father because truth be told I’ve only been saved and actually walking it out a few years now. I appreciate the Man of God that God has placed in my life and I appreciate him correcting me when I’m wrong. God chastens those he loves and I believe that he has a great amount of love for me because he chasten me spiritually when I’m out of line…lol. I may not like it at times but I appreciate his corrections. We gone keep moving Pastor and keep building the Kingdom of God, flaws and all. Jeremiah 3:15 reads, and I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. I challenge you to honor the men and women of God that have been assigned to your life. Have a Blessed Day and always remember to stay Grounded and Rooted!!!
