Worse case scenario in 2015: Politicians start fighting over election results, no clear winner. Violence and protests everywhere, near-absolute chaos and then the soldiers take over. The presidents whereabouts are unknown. The nation is locked down under martial law for 90 days and a fresh election is conducted with all the previous candidates DISQUALIFIED. A revolution takes place within the 90 days and the new military leaders hand over to the newly-elected president, a relatively obscure figure but widely-respected by the elite and the international community. Fresh trouble may erupt when one of the new military leaders decides to run for office himself. Worst case scenario: a civil war erupts following the assassination of a prominent political candidate already coasting home to victory in the presidential elections. Oh, never mind the mind of a writer...lol!
