Wounding in Kings Meadows - Charges laid Detectives from Launceston CIB have charged a 23 year old man from Newnham with wounding and assault relating to an incident at the intersection of Hobart Road and Nunamina Avenue Kings Meadows on 12th January 2014. At 12.05am Sunday 12 January 2014 a 27 year old motorist stopped to speak to two men after an item was thrown at his vehicle. One of the men approached his car and an altercation took place, during which the driver receiving a knife wound to his right arm. The driver was conveyed to Launceston General Hospital and received medical treatment to his injuries including surgery later in the morning to repair damage to his hand. Tasmania Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in resolving this matter.
