Wow! After a visit from Kristin Williams from Ephemera in Paducah, it was decided that there will be space for TWO more students -- so CALL today -- or e-mail us! Super class Sunday afternoon, September 21, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (It is advertised as Master, but dont let that scare you off if youve never worked with this before -- thats what its all about -- having fun, meeting new friends, and learning!) Learn through a collage layering process involving paper, fabrics, paint, spray paints, and a final step of resin resulting in a whimsical look. Working on a 10 x 10 canvas, students will draw a simple shape (house, bird, face) and scrape paint onto canvas using a limited palette of 2-4 colors. Additional elements such as stencils, spray paint, and the addition of words or phrases using rubber stamps will also be suggested. The final step of resin brings forward some of the elements underneath the pain resulting in texture and interest along with a shiny durable surface. Students are encouraged to think about what image could represent a thought or central idea or focus. Students can bring items from home or photocopies. Class price is $65 per person with all materials supplied and class is limited to 8 participants. Janice Mason Art Museum (270) 522-9056 [email protected]
