Wow, Fayetteville State on there twice? I still think before kids go off to school, they should get at least one class, for one semester, where it explains things like: 1. How to pay for school. 2. The implications of going ****s deep in debt. 3. Other options for paying for school (yes, including the military) 4. Which majors pay what. 5. Alternative ways to get your degree, including doing 2 years at a junior college. 6. Highish paying careers you can get with ONLY a junior college degree or certificate. Etc... I think kids just feel like they MUST attend college, regardless of cost. And unless kids have changed a lot since I was one, theyre having to make this choice without even really knowing what they want to do with their lives. I do, strongly, feel that working a few years before going to school is a good idea. I think its a bad idea to give kids the idea that going to school right out of high school is right and anything else shades towards being wrong.
