Wow. Tomorrow is the first day of school. I remember being a kid in school and always being so nervous about the first day that I didnt sleep any the night before. Tossing and turning thinking about who Id talk to, who Id hang out with, what my teachers would be like. Now here I am 12+ years later and 8 years into my teaching career still getting the first-day jitters. I still wont sleep at all tonight. Ill still be tossing and turning but instead I will be thinking about what my kids will be like, how our day will play out, will I be able to meet all their needs, how far can I take them this year, I hope I dont fail anyone, etc. But I wouldnt have it any other way.
