Wow...as I sit here typing we are 8 Prayer Partners away from 10,000. If Roy could respond he would be laughing at me. You see, I am the one who was always screaming....”we are not about numbers. Stop adding folks without asking them” :) now I am sitting here with tears in my eyes because God has brought us so very far from the Original 5. My God My God! I thought when this time came I would have a whole bunch to say, so many memories to chronicle...but all I have is Wow! So much has happened since that first hour on March 7th, 2011. we have grown in numbers of course, but more important our Prayer Life has grown, our Spiritual Life has grown, our Friendships have grown. We have grown in every area, because God gave Roy Haygood Jr. the vision to start a Prayer Partners group on Facebook. A place where many said there was nothing but trouble and drama. Roys dream was to have a Big Convention and have everyone from around the World gather and Pray. Well I believe that we can make some of that come to pass. Although we will not physically come together, let us come together here. Right here on Prayer Partners, World Wide, with Pictures, Stories, Family Gatherings...We can do this. Lets start now: your memories of when you first came to The Prayer Partners. Those of you who knew Roy, who had lunch or breakfast with him, who heard him pray, heard him sing...who heard him preach, now is the time to share all of that. For me, what I remember most is he and I along with many others at the Early Bird Diner one Saturday morning and we were singing “I wont Complain”. I will forever hear his voice in my head and in my heart. I love Prayer Partners. God blessed me to become Overseer when He called Roy Home and it has been one of the Greatest Gifts I have ever received. Thank you all for staying, for coming, for praying and encouraging one another...Remember always the words of Our Late Founder, Pastor and Friend: We are Blessed to be a Blessing!
