Wow.. time sure does have a way of flying by doesnt it? FIFTEEN years ago today (around this time actually) I did an insane road trip from Grimshaw, AB to see STYX 5.1 at the Silver Mountain Amphitheater in Kellogg, Idaho. It was VERY early into their new chapter, and I to be honest I didnt know how it was going to pan out. Dennis was out, Chuck had retired, Glen and Gowan were in. It most certainly was a Brave New World. The show was 2.5 hours of pure Styx bliss, and I knew after the show this band was going to be one to reckon with on the road. The best part? I got tickets from Glen Burtnik and was gracious after the show to hang out with us crazy Canucks for a bit that night. It was the first of 17 since then, with I hope many more to come. Since there isnt any audio or video (that I know of) from that night, ladies and gentlemen, the song that kicked off every show from July 99 (Missouri) to February of 2001 (Kelowna, BC)..
