Wow what a big house to clean, thank God I have so many helpers throughout the week, would not trade it for anything though. I have been working at a slower pace than usual I have another migraine, I dont understand it I have not had these for years at least not like this. Dont worry parents I will be ready and happy to see my little ones, I only have to add the back yard picture but here is what our school looks like. Our infant Room requires hand sanitation when entering and leaving, staff and parents must wear blue booties over their shoes or over their socks, anyone with illness cannot be in direct contact with the infants and the room is always sanitary and ready for play. Teacher is Ms. Sara and we are so thankful for her volunteering on a regular basis for her degree. Toddler room has a great natural lighting which adds to the large group/block Area, Manipulative area, dramatic play and quiet area plus sensory/cognitive and paint, oooo how they love to paint. Teacher is Ms. Michelle and we all love you. Preschool Room, it is the largest we have a large group time area which doubles for our block play, science table, writing area, quiet/book area, manipulative area, Easel with painting available everyday, dramatic play, listening center and so much more. The little ones in this classroom are already doing AB patterns, recognize not only their name but all their classmates names and they are sounding out three letter words, they know all 5 vowels and that they have a long and short sound. They are counting daily with the calendar and our estimation jar among other daily activities, they are learning the concept of what yesterday was, today is and tomorrow will be, the weather and specifically the seasons and so much more. They write their names daily and they are closely monitored to ensure they are developing that pincher grasp to handle the pencil correctly, they also have their own daily journal, learn about a multi cultural world we now and have always lived in and the work each day is always RESPECT and what it means. Ms. Vanessa is the teacher in this classroom (me :)) and Ms. Adalinda plus we have Mr. Chris that is volunteering daily. Our cook Ms. Miriam keeps our kitchen clean and sanitary, does the shopping and develops a weekly menu to ensure we are meeting Children Services Networks food guidelines and we have Ms. Mary that has been doing her hours for West Hills College with us (thank you Anna Lisa). Outside is amazing, beautiful green trees, grass and a large sandbox, the children love it and never get board and the teachers truly enjoy the change from a small play yard to a huge play yard. We all love our jobs and thank the parents and supporters of this small community, it truly means a lot, we are truly Blessed.
