Wow, what a week! The Ward 84 Party was only on Sunday and everybody who attended is still on a high :-) The thank you list has been endless, and its business as usual tomorrow as we continue sharing with you the beautiful Faces of Ward 84, increasing your awareness of the signs and symptoms of childhood cancers and other serious blood conditions that are treated on Ward 84, and hopefully inspiring you to want to make a difference. We will share an album of party photographs with you as soon as they are ready. Id like to wrap things up on a personal note, by thanking all the parents and patients from Ward 84 who have shared their very special photographs and personal stories in order to raise awareness - without your belief in this campaign and willingness to allow me to share, the Faces of Ward 84 would not have been a success, and the party wouldnt have happened. Thank you to two parents in particular - Clair Beswick and Katherine Yates - who worked extremely hard in helping to plan the party; theres no way I could have done it without you! And to Laura Smith - another Ward 84 parent whose amazing efforts resulted in many donations being made to the cause. Lastly, Id like to thank my very own little Face of Ward 84 - Jacob - for whom the battle against leukaemia continues. Your bravery and determination provoke all my ideas and you inspire me every single day to want to make a difference. xxxxx
