Wow! what an exciting birthday Ive had so far! I had 4 cops and the news crew out here today. my neighbors found a dog a week ago, it belonged to some other neighbors. They were hiding the dog in a bedroom, but it kept crying and scratching at the window like it was being held hostage. Kailey saw a notice on the missing dog at the rescue she volunteers for. I tried to convince my neighbors to return the dog but they kept denying they had it, The owners had been to their house several days ago when they were searching for it and the man said he could hear his dog barking in the house but they kept telling him it wasnt his dog. anyways I told the neighbors last night that if they didnt give the dog back I was going to call the owners and tell them they had the dog.and I did. The owner had the police meet them and finally after a couple hours they brought the dog out. the owner was standing on the sidewalk about 3 houses away and when he saw the dog he yelled his name. when the dog saw him he yelped and wriggled so much they couldnt hold on to him and the dog jumped out of their arms and ran straight for his daddy! It was like something youd see in a movie. that dog was jumping, whining and loving all over his daddy, he was so happy to be free! so the police called animal control when they saw the condition the neighbors other dogs live in and animal control cited them for several things and the police are still investigating to see what charges they can file. with all the crowd, cops and media out here you would have thought a child was kidnapped. so my neighbor threatened me and i will probably be dealing with the repercussions for a awhile but I dont care, I would somebody would do the same if my dog was stolen and being hidden in someones house. Also want to say that Miamisburg Police did an awesome job! This doggie heist standoff lasted several hours and they refused to leave until the dog was returned! Way to go!!!!
