NZWG Seed Grants Introduction Sessions Created by Writers – Created for Writers The first call for applications for the NZWG Seed Grants, (worth $10k each) will go out this Friday the 29th of November. The goal of this initiative is to create an opportunity for writers to experiment with new ideas, to provide development funding specifically for writers only and to find new, exciting projects. This is an opportunity for writers to think big, to think beyond our shores, to be innovative, to be brilliant, and to be excited about the opportunity to receive some funding to create something they own. NZWG Executive Director Steven Gannaway will be traveling to the South Island to introduce and provide information on the NZWG Seed Grants initiative, the application requirements and how to create strong submissions. He will be available to discuss: • The goals and the intent of the initiative • Application criteria: requirements and rationale • Selection process • Key deliverables • Additional NZWG support services for script development Also if you have any other script writing career questions he will be happy to meet with you to talk about these too.
