YAYA TOURE WON D 2013 AFRICA FOOTBALLER OF D YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! l laugh when I see people saying that Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast should be african footballer of the year ahead of mikel or even Vincent Enyeama who was controversially not nominated.. They say that because mikel doesnt score goals that yaya should win it, saying that he scored only 4 goals in 300 matches for Chelsea.. Thats even the funniest part when I read it.. I want to ask them this...................... In Year 2006, when fabio cannavaro (Italy Captain) won the world best,how many goals did he score?? How many did he even score in his entire career??? I even laughed loud when they judged it by saying that Yaya is a better footballer so he should win it.. I ask again..... Why didnt Zidane and henry who were much more better players in 2006 than cannavaro win the world best in 2006 ahead of cannavaro who won it????????????????? If Yaya should win it this year, then Samuel Etoo of cameroun should be stripped of 2004 african best because they told us that the sole reason jay jay Okocha didnt win it that year was because he didnt win any trophy, notwithstandind en despite d fact that jay jay Okocha was d afcon most valuable Player that year, BBC African best footballer in Europe, was co highest goal scorer en scored Afcon 1000th goal that tournament. Yet they gave it to Samuel Etoo just because he won the UEFA cup, scored in the final and was playing in european competition with Real malorca before he went to Bacelona that year....... This year presents us with another Samuel Etoo/Jay Jay Okocha like 2004 scenerio.. John Obi Mikel won Afcon, won the Europa cup, knocked out Yaya on his way to the trophy, taught yaya how to play the tik tak that day, bossed the midfield, He also won the europa just like how Samuel Etoo won it in 2004..... But yaya won nothing with man city last year, He lost the FA cup final against a relegated wigan team, He came to Afcon and was the flop of the tournament and went trophyless just like jay jay Okocha in 2004. Also, Yaya Toure that was forming BIG BOY during the so called biggest soccer event in Africa (AFCON) was given African Footballer of the Year ahead of Mikel Obi who did extra ordinarily well to show what Afcon truly means. Furthermore, Yaya Toures achievement since joining Manchester City in 2011-2013 are; England Premie League: 1, FA: 1, African cup of Nations (Afcon): Zero. Dats all. But John Obi Mikels since 2011 - 2013 are; European Champions League: 1, Europa League:1 England Premier League: 1, England FA: 2, Carlin Cup: 1 en lastly, 2013 African cup of Nation:1. Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! Moreover, If Samuel Eto,o should win it in year 2004, then tel me why John Mikel Obi shouldnt win it this year because CAF made us understood that Eto o won it based on the trophies He won that year unlike jay jay Okocha...P Morealso, the inclusion of drogba ahead of Vincent Enyeama who was d afcon best Goalkeeper in 2013,European best Goalkeeper in 2013 and was outstanding by going 11 matches without conceding a goal in french league which is d 2nd highest Goalkeeper not conceding in french league history. Apart,Didier Drogba was rubbish last year for Galatasary but Vincent Enyeama stood tall whole last year.. Even the inclusion of Alex Song ahead of Mikel last year wen Alex Song was stil wit Arsenal just makes a mockery of the award.. CAF AWARD LACK CREDIBILITY. Why?????? With dis mai view, I think en it just showed that Issa Hayatou SCAMMED this award just to favour his french contingent players.. Though disappointed, I always had a feeling Issa Hayatou would manipulate things again just like his boss at FIFA (Sep Blatter) does. As we are quite aware of d fact dat Issa Hayatou already had a candidate, He always wants a player from Francophone Countries to win the award. When was the last time a player from an Anglophone country won??????????????? Samuel Etoo Fills of Cameroon, Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast, Hajji Diuf of Senegal, Kanoute, Emmanuel Oluwasheyi Adebayor of Togo en 3 consecutively Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast are all from Francophone countries! Essien was denied by Hayatou and his Francophone agenda. D same applies to Jay Jay Okocha, a player listed among the 125 greatest soccer player in d world by Pele; Hayatou still denied him the chance!!! We also shouldnt forget how Hayatou singlehandedly gave his home country Cameroon the Afcon trophy in Year 2000 when Nigerian Victor Ikpebas penalty was ruled out purposely bcos He didnt jubilate after D penalty en many more!!! HAYATOU, REMEMBER GOD DEY O!!!!!!! Lastly lets forget sentiments, forget whos the better player and judge this award purely on merit like CAF always does.. JOHN MIKEL NCHEKWUBE OBI deserve this award 100% ahead of anybody in Africa bar..... I rest mai case Prince Femmy Gbadebo Oyo State Nigeria .
