ARTQUAKE ISTANBUL - ÜSKÜDAR ART BIENNALE 2014 (Call for Entries), Contemporary local and international artists September 1st - September 7th Beylerbeyi Mah. 34676 Üsküdar, 34676 Istanbul, Istanbul, Turkey [map] Hours: 10:00 Cost: Participation Fee 750 Euro CALL FOR ENTRIES (DEADLİNE FOR UBMİSSİON: 15TH OF AUGUST) The International Forum of the Arts (IFA), a prestigious art organization composed of International Artists, Collectors, Curators and Art Lovers, spearheads the holding of the First Uskudar Art Biennale aptly called ‘Artquake Istanbul 2014’. This Biennale will be hosted in one of the most beautiful and historical palaces in the Orient, the Beylerbeyi Palace, located by the bank of the Bosphorous on the Asian side of Istanbul. For Seven days in the golden months of autumn, the art works of artists from different parts of the globe will adorn the gallery of the Beylerbeyi Palace in a most awaited juried exhibition, the Art Biennale of Üsküdar popularly referred to as ‘Artquake Istanbul 2014’. Set in an ancient district of Istanbul, once known as ‘Scutari’, this event will showcase the creative talents of emerging and established artists worldwide as well as bring together art audiences from collectors to curators, art critics and lovers of fine art as well as representatives of funding institutions of art and clture. The Biennale starts on the 1st of September and will culminate in the awards ceremony on the eve of the 7th of September with the attendance of participating artists, international media, Istanbul dignitaries and the Mayor of Üsküdar, from whom the event owes patronage. Several prizes will be awarded to telented arists in this juried show. Prize winning entries will automatically be included in the 2015 Artquake Kyoto in Japan.
